.SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WATERS....Southerly gales 
persisted near Point Arena today. These southerly gales are 
expected to rapidly expand north this evening ahead of a strong 
frontal boundary and persist through late tonight. Winds and seas 
will subside Friday. Another low pressure system will approach 
over the weekend, bringing an increase in southerly winds and 
steep waves.
