Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms over the past couple days will 
result in high flows along the Arkansas River from Avondale to La 
Junta.  While the river is expected to remain within its banks, high 
flows can be dangerous.  Please stay away from the river banks which 
can become unstable during high water.
