...High Flows on the Portneuf River at Pocatello through Thursday...

Rainfall from Tuesday combined with higher elevation snowmelt has 
caused an increase in flows on the Portneuff River near Pocatello. 
With warmer weather expected by the end of the week, an acceleration 
in higher elevation snowmelt should cause the river to remain around 
bankfull stage and possibly approach minor flood stage. At bankfull, 
water will encroach onto portions of the bike and walking trail near 
the River at Sacajawea Park in Pocatello. Keep children and pets away 
from the cold, fast moving waters.
