...Water levels will approach flood stage along the North Fork 
Solomon near Portis...

The water level on the North Fork of the Solomon River near Portis was rapidly rising...and current indications are that the river level will reach action stage of 13 feet later this morning. The current stage 
was 10.5 feet. The river is forecast to rise to near 15 feet around midnight tonight...and then fall during the daytime hours Friday.

At a river stage of 15.0 feet...The southeast bank overflows into 
agricultural and pasture lowlands. Water rises over County Road 362.

Be especially cautious of flooding at night when it is difficult to 
recognize the dangers of flooding.
