Heavy rain has ended and snow levels are below 7000 feet. However, 
minor flooding will continue in the Carson Valley into Tuesday.

High flows will continue along the Truckee River at Reno due to
releases from Prosser Creek Reservoir. These releases must be made
to clear flood control space in the reservoir. The releases are made
in compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requirements for the
operation of the reservoir.

These river forecasts are based on forecast precipitation and
temperature conditions at time of issuance. If actual conditions vary
from these forecasts...river conditions will vary accordingly. River
forecasts include current and planned reservoir releases.

Forecast information for
  Truckee River At Reno.
* At 8:15 PM Monday the stage was 8.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will fall to near 8.4 feet by late Tuesday
  evening.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Monitor Stage...Lowest meadows and 
  agricultural areas below U.S. Highway 395 begin to flood. Near 
  5000 CFS...about a one in four chance of this much flow occurring 
  any year per USGS estimates.
