BMBB91 KKEY 051835 STQKEY *** spot.weather.gov open request status *** Note: Please do not ignore this notification. We want to make sure our customers get their spot forecasts when they want it. *** Reasons you are getting this alert and solutions *** 1) Around 30 minutes after the deliver date/time, you will get a Forecast is Late Notification if a forecast has not been posted against a pending spot forecast request. If you post the forecast within the next hour, you will no longer get this notification 2) There are a number of reasons/bugs where the customer does not enter in the correct Deliver Date/Time and the Forecast Start Date/Time. Forecasters must fix this to get these notifications to stop. First log into the spot.weather.gov/cms/admin page with your CAC card. Follow this proceedure to fix issues... a) Click on Request menu item on the left. b) Enter in one of the Incident IDs from the table below into the search box and press enter. One incident should appear in the list below the search box c) In that row, click on the three dots icon and select Edit. d) Fix the date/time issues in the request. Press Save Edits. e) Click the three dots icon again and select Process Edits. This will send a new STQ with the correct date/times. f) Go back to spot.weather.gov page and click on Request Forecast Update for the incident you are working on. This will put the request into Forecast Pending mode. (Bug requires this step. 3) Bug when a customer submits an observation or feedback AFTER the the forecast has been posted. JSON file will falsely say forecast is pending. Solution: Go to admin page -> Requests and enter in the request id in search box. Click the 3 dots icon on the right and select Show. Note the Current Update number. Then go into AWIPS, edit the forecast, change the update number in the .TAG line and resend the forecast.
