BMBB92 KCHS 020200 STQCHS *** weather.gov/spot archive status *** *** Emergency Note *** I am seeing a number of offices Deleting inactive incidents when they should be Archiving. Incidents with official forecasts posted against them should be archived. Virgil Hello, this is a new STQ notification product that will remind you to Archive inactive incidents within your service area on the http://weather.gov/spot/monitor/?wfo=chs page. Below is a list of incidents that have been inactive for 7 days or more. For each of these incidents, you have three options... 1) If the incident is no longer active and the customer no longer needs forecasts for the incident, then run the Archive link 2) If it is a test incident generated by someone in your office, then Delete the incident. No need to archive test incidents. 3) If the incident is still active and forecasts will be needed for the incident in the future, then run the "Copy Info into New Request for This Incident" or the "Request Forecast Update" link and generate a new request for this incident. Set the Deliver Date/Time to about when the customer will need their next forecast. The customer can change the Deliver Date/Time at any time.
