BAHAMAS PUBLIC FORECAST FOR TONIGHT, TOMORROW AND THE NEXT SIX (6)

GENERAL SITUATION—
A ridge of high pressure across the Bahamas will continue to shift
eastwards today ahead of an approaching prefrontal trough and a
strong cold front presently in the eastern Gulf of Mexico. The
approaching system will move into the Northern Bahamas tonight and
push through the chain of islands Thursday before stalling across the
Southeast Bahamas by Friday.

SPECIAL WEATHER NOTES—
Beachgoers and swimmers in the Southeast Bahamas should continue to
remain vigilant due to the slight risk of rip currents along east
coast beaches and along Atlantic exposures.

PRECIPITATION: 20% chance of showers within the vicinity of the
frontal boundary.
WINDS: South to southwest at 15 knots ahead of the front but
Northwest to north at 15 to 25 knots behind the front.
