Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.4 inch low pressure over central Lake Michigan weakens back to 29.5 inches while dropping south over Lake Michigan today. Meanwhile, a 30.4 inch high pressure ridge will build over the Northern Plains. Tonight, the low will dissipate as a new 29.2 inch low develops over eastern New York. On Friday, 29.3 inch low pressure will spin near the Mid-Atlantic Coast while the Northern Plains ridge weakens to 30.2 inches. During Friday night and Saturday, a 29.6 inch trough will develop from the Mid- Atlantic States to James Bay while a 30.2 inch ridge extends from the Northern Plains to the Mid-Mississippi Valley. The ridge will then weaken to 30.0 inches as it shifts to the Upper Great Lakes over the weekend. During Sunday night and Monday, a 29.7 inch low pressure will track east-northeast to the Great Lakes region.
