The Low-water crossings approaching the bridges are inundated with water, with up to 8 inches of water over the road. Water will remain high through Thursday, and then is expected to fall slowly through the weekend. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 105 PM AKDT Tuesday, The Roads and Pads Crew at Kuparuk reported that causeway approaches to the bridges over the Kuparuk River are flooded and covered in up to 8 inches of water. Water level on the gage 1 mile upstream of the bridge was 37.8 feet at 1245 PM Tuesday, and had been steady since Monday. It is uncertain if there is any ice jam in place, but there is a surge of high water caused by warm temperatures and snow melt in the Brooks Range. It is expected that high water will remain through at least Thursday, and that water levels will fall slowly through the weekend as temperatures cool in the Brooks Range. - For Kuparuk River nr Deadhorse: At 12:45pm the stage was 37.82 feet.
