...The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a 
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...

  Kankakee River at Davis affecting La Porte, Starke and St. Joseph 
  Counties.

.Recent rainfall from remnants of hurricane Beryl this past week and 
additional expected rainfall from storms tonight into Tuesday will 
lead to continued rises on area rivers.

For the Kankakee River...including Davis...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON TO EARLY THURSDAY 
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Kankakee River at Davis.

* WHEN...From Monday afternoon to early Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Flooding of low lying agricultural areas 
  begins.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 PM EDT Sunday /9:00 PM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 8.5
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 10.5 feet early Tuesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
