...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is occurring.

* WHERE...Chinle in Apache County.

* WHEN...Until Midnight MDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of Chinle Wash is ongoing and structures are 
  flooded. With warmer weather forecast this weekend, additional 
  snowmelt is likely to keep flows in Chinle Wash elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1008 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in
    the warned area. Flooding is already occurring.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chinle and Canyon De Chelly National Monument.

    flood safety.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Keep children away from culverts, creeks and washes! Water levels 
can rise rapidly and sweep children away.

Stay away or be swept away! The banks of creeks and washes are 
unstable and unsafe during any flooding event.
