The National Weather Service in Aberdeen has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Southwestern Roberts County in northeastern South Dakota...
  Northeastern Day County in northeastern South Dakota...
  Southeastern Marshall County in northeastern South Dakota...
  Northwestern Grant County in northeastern South Dakota...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 614 PM CDT, a dangerous snow squall was located over Waubay
  Wildlife Rec Area, or over Enemy Swim Housing, moving southeast at
  40 mph.

  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 
           blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than 
           one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.

South Dakota Highway 12 may be affected.

Waubay, Enemy Swim Housing, Summit, Roslyn, Ortley, Grenville, Finley
Heights Housing, Waubay Lake, Minnewasta Lake, Rudebusch Corner, Blue
Dog Lake, Waubay Wildlife Rec Area, Enemy Swim Lake, Rush Lake,
Campbell Slough, Pickerel Lake Rec Area, Opitz Lake, Bitter Lake, and
southern Lake Traverse Reservation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.

Consider avoiding or delaying travel until the snow squall passes
your location. If you must travel, use extra caution and allow extra
time. Rapid changes in visibility and slick road conditions may lead
to accidents.
