...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING 
FOR WESTERN COLLIER COUNTY...

At 441 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a feeder band working into 
the Naples area from the Gulf of Mexico. This feeder band will be 
capable of producing rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches on top of the 
already 7 to 10 inches of rain that have fallen from the earlier 
feeder bands last night through today. Flash flooding is already 
occurring over the area and additional rainfall will continue to 
cause flash flooding.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Naples, Marco Island, Golden Gate Estates, Belle Meade, Lely 
  Resort, Naples Manor, Marco Island Airport, East Naples, West Toll 
  Gate On Alligator Alley, Royal Palm Hammock, Golden Gate, 
  Vineyards, Cape Romano, North Naples, Naples Park, Everglades 
  National Park, Fiddlers Creek, Rookery Bay Aquatic Preserve, Lely 
  and Goodland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
