...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR HOWARD, NORTHWESTERN MERRICK, SOUTHWESTERN NANCE AND 
SHERMAN COUNTIES...

At 217 AM CDT, emergency management reported flash flooding across 
the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. 
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is 
expected. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  St. Paul, Loup City, Palmer, Dannebrog, Litchfield, Elba, Ashton, 
  Howard City, Farwell, Rockville, Hazard, Cushing, and Boelus.

  Clear Creek, Oak Creek, Wiggle Creek, Dead Horse Creek, Elk Creek, 
  Moffet Creek, Beaver Creek, South Branch Timber Creek, Big Slough, 
  Cady Creek, Cedar Creek, Lake Creek, Munson Creek, Dry Creek, 
  Horse Creek, Brown Creek, Mud Creek, Turkey Creek, Cedar River, 
  Auger Creek, Cole Creek, Spring Creek, Cow Creek, Bloody Run 
  Creek, Deer Creek, Rock Creek, Timber Creek, Cob Creek, Spring 
  Branch Creek, Prairie Creek and Cottonwood Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
