...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING 
FOR CENTRAL GRAFTON COUNTY...

At 645 PM EDT, Heavy showers and thunderstorms have brought between 
1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain across the warned area. Additional 
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash 
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain showers and
         thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small streams and low lying areas
         adjacent to steep terrain. The high rainfall rates could
         result in damage to roads, so motorists should use
         caution and never drive into flood waters.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Haverhill, Franconia, Groton, Piermont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
