The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Gila County in east central Arizona...

* Until 600 PM MST.

* At 246 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area, along the Mogollon Rim from 
  near Pine eastward to north of Payson. Between 1 and 2 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Star Valley, Geronimo Estates, Flowing Springs, East Verde 
  Estates, Pine, Freedom Acres, Water Wheel Falls, Whispering Pines, 
  Ellison Creek Cascades, Washington Park, Strawberry, The Toilet 
  Bowl, Fossil Creek Waterfall, Beaver Valley Estates, Wonder Valley 
  and Bonita Creek Estates.

This includes the following swimming holes...
	Water Wheel Falls and Ellison Creek Cascades.

This includes State Route 87 near mile marker 258...and
	between mile markers 265 and 270.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
  Hardscrabble Creek and Fossil Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Immediately move out of and away from creeks and washes in the . 
Flash flooding is occurring or imminent. Turn Around, Don't Drown if 
you encounter flood waters while driving.
