The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Archuleta County in southwestern Colorado...

* Until 345 PM MDT.

* At 216 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain just west of Pagosa Springs and along Hwy 160. Between 
  0.5 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
  amounts of 0.3 to 0.6 inches are possible in the warned area. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Central Archuleta County, CO Highway 160, west Pagosa Springs

This includes U.S. Highway 160 in Colorado between mile markers 135 
and 138.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
