The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Clear Creek County in central Colorado...

* Until 1230 AM MDT.

* At 921 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches,
           roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Idaho Springs, Echo Lake, Mt Evans, Blue Valley, Brookvale and 
  Guanella Pass.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Bear Track Creek, Lost Creek, South Clear Creek, Lake Fork, Little 
  Bear Creek, Bear Creek, North Beaver Brook, Scott Gomer Creek, 
  Beaver Brook, Leavenworth Creek, Geneva Creek, Beaverdam Creek, 
  Clear Creek, Indian Creek, South Chicago Creek, Vance Creek, 
  Chicago Creek, Soda Creek, Barbour Fork and Tumbling Creek.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from this storm will cause flash flooding of creeks 
and streams, roads and roadside culverts. The heavy rains could also 
trigger rock slides or debris flows in steep terrain.
