A pocket of heavier rain was moving south across portions of Candler and Bulloch Counties. As much as 5 to 10 inches of rain has fallen over the area. An additional 1 to 2 inches could fall this afternoon. Flash flooding is ongoing in many areas and the risk for additional flooding continues. Numerous roadways remain either flooded or washed out. Roads remain flooded in parts of the Savannah Metro Area and some homes are flooded. Similar conditions are occurring elsewhere across the warning area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. Emergency management officials report that water is flowing over the dam along Smith Brother's Lake southwest of Claxton, Georgia, and is flooding nearby areas.
