* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Fannin County in north central Georgia...
  Central Lumpkin County in north central Georgia...
  Southwestern Union County in north central Georgia...

* Until 615 AM EDT.

* At 1222 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Suches, Gaddistown, Gooch Mountain Shelter, Camp Merrill, Hawk 
  Mountain Shelter, Margret, Woods Hole Shelter, Porter Springs, 
  Blood Mountain Shelter, Stover Creek Shelter, Springer Mountain 
  Shelter, Nimblewill, Black Gap Shelter and Vogel State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
