Stephens County in northeastern Georgia... * Until 200 PM EDT. * At 827 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across northeast Georgia. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. The river gauge at Beaverdam Creek at Brewers Mill Rd above Elberton is at 8 feet and climbing and climbing which is leading to ongoing nuisance flooding in the area. Other nearby small streams are likely bankfull or out of their banks. Additional rainfall amounts of up to an inch are possible as tropical rainbands continue to lift north this morning, and this will result in flash flooding.
