* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Grundy County in central Iowa...
  Northern Hardin County in central Iowa...
  Southern Butler County in north central Iowa...
  Southern Franklin County in north central Iowa...
  Southeastern Wright County in north central Iowa...

* Until 1115 AM CDT.

* At 912 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  5 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Iowa Falls, Parkersburg, Ackley, Shell Rock, Dike, Aplington, 
  Alden, Wellsburg, Dows, New Hartford, Steamboat Rock, Stout, 
  Geneva, Buckeye, Bradford, Popejoy, Owasa, Ackley Municipal 
  Airport and Iowa Falls Municipal Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
