The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Poweshiek County in central Iowa...
  Northeastern Mahaska County in south central Iowa...

* Until 1145 PM CDT Tuesday.

* At 536 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms has fallen 
  across the warned area. Creeks and small streams are rising 
  rapidly. As much as 3 to 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash 
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Oskaloosa, Montezuma, New Sharon, Beacon, University Park, Deep 
  River, Barnes City, Rose Hill, Searsboro, Keomah Village, Guernsey 
  and Lake Keomah State Park.
