The National Weather Service in St Louis has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Clinton County in south central Illinois...
  Washington County in south central Illinois...

* Until 445 PM CDT.

* At 235 PM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain in Nashville, IL. Between 2 and 6 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already 
  occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported flooding continuing in
           Nashville.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Breese, New Baden, Carlyle, Nashville, Okawville, Germantown, 
  Albers, Wamac, Beckemeyer, Lively Grove, Irvington, Ashley, 
  Shattuc, New Memphis, Boulder, Posen, Bartelso, Beaucoup, Hoyleton 
  and Johannisburg.

This includes the following State Parks...
	Carlyle Lake Recreational Area.

This includes Interstate 64 in Illinois between exits 34 and 61.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
