The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Bath County in east central Kentucky...

* Until 100 AM EDT.

* At 959 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Sharpsburg, Bethel, Odessa, Pebble and Oakley.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Slate Creek, Naylor Creek, Licking River, East Fork Flat Creek, 
  Bald Eagle Creek, Hinkston Creek, Little Indian Creek, Maux 
  Branch, Flat Creek, Miners Branch and Little Flat Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
