* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Cheboygan County in northern Michigan...
  Southern Emmet County in northern Michigan...

* Until 715 PM EDT.

* At 418 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Radar rainfall estimates have 
  been around 2 inches per hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Petoskey, Cheboygan, Harbor Springs, Pellston, Indian River, 
  Conway, Aloha, Alanson, Topinabee, Burt Lake State Park, Burt 
  Lake, Brutus, Mullet Lake, Aloha State Park, Reasoners Corner, 
  Koehler Township, Oden, Alverno, Cheboygan State Park and Petoskey 
  State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small 
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses 
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
