The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Carter County in southeastern Missouri...
  Ripley County in southeastern Missouri...

* Until 115 PM CST Tuesday.

* At 702 AM CST, Around one inch of rain has fallen across parts of 
  Carter and Ripley County early this morning. An area of heavier 
  rain is moving in that is expected to produce another 1 to 3 
  inches of rain. Flash flooding is  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Doniphan, Van Buren, Naylor, Ellsinore, Hunter, Budapest, 
  Gatewood, Fremont, Oxly, Grandin and Briar.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
