The National Weather Service in Wakefield has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Camden County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Northwestern Currituck County in northeastern North Carolina...
  Eastern Pasquotank County in northeastern North Carolina...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 203 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  heavy rain moving back into the area. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of 
  rain fell earlier today. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 
  inches are possible in the warned area through 330 pm. Flash 
  flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Currituck, Camden, Indiantown, Shiloh, Old Trap, Whitehall Shores, 
  Moyock, Riddle, Bartlett, Shawboro, Maple, Gregory, Barco, Taylors 
  Beach, Coinjock, Belcross, Sligo, Goose Creek, Snowden and Texas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
