The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Lancaster County in southeastern Nebraska...

* Until 445 AM CDT.

* At 218 AM CDT, gauge reports indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain in Lincoln. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall of up to an inch is possible. Flash flooding 
  is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Gauges reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lincoln, Lincoln Airport, Holmes Lake Park, Pioneers Park and 
  Emerald.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
