The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Elko County in northeastern Nevada...

* Until 700 PM PDT.

* At 557 PM PDT, Trained spotter reported water covering 10th Street 
  and Silver Street as well as adjacent sidewalks. This is to the 
  south of I80. Water is continuing to flow down the slope of the 
  road. Between 0.3 and 0.7 inches of rain have fallen. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are possible in the warned 
  area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Elko.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
