* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cayuga County in central New York...
  Northwestern Cortland County in central New York...
  South Central Onondaga County in central New York...
  Southern Seneca County in central New York...

* Until 1000 PM EDT.

* At 752 PM EDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area with creeks rising 
  above bankfull and water approaching a house in Cayuga county. 
  Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is 
  already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Cortland, Homer, Otisco, Covert, Locke, Genoa, Ledyard, Moravia, 
  Scott, Sempronius, Aurora, Interlaken, Ovid, Lodi, Cascade, Venice 
  Center, Casowasco, Scipio Center, Montville and King Ferry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
