The National Weather Service in Charleston has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Berkeley County in southeastern South Carolina...
  Dorchester County in southeastern South Carolina...

* Until 900 AM EDT.

* At 525 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heaviest rainfall has 
  shifted south and east of Moncks Corner. 4 to 9 inches of rain has 
  already fallen in portions of the warning area and emergency 
  management has reported widespread flash flooding in Moncks Corner 
  including water rescues. Life-threatening flash flooding will 
  likely continue even after the heavy rainfall subsides. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible, mainly across 
  southeast Berkeley County.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, and highways.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
