The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastland County in north central Texas...

* Until 500 AM CST.

* At 1242 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. The Eastland, TX airport rain 
  gauge has recorded over 5.5 inches of rain in the last 3 hours. 
  The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are forecast. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
           poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Eastland, Cisco, Ranger, Gorman, Rising Star, Lake Olden, Lake 
  Leon, Lake Cisco, Pleasant Hill, Carbon, Staff, Nimrod, Kokomo, 
  Sabanno, Olden, Morton Valley, Okra, Scranton, Desdemona and 
  Pioneer.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
