The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Ector County in western Texas...
  Northwestern Midland County in western Texas...

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 713 PM CDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy 
  rain across the warned area. Reports continue to show water 
  approaching low-lying homes and stalled vehicles on roads in the 
  area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional 
  rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. 
  Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Public reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Midland, Odessa, Goldsmith, West Odessa, Midland International Air 
  and Space Port, Odessa Schlemeyer Field, Warfield, Notrees and 
  Midland Airpark.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 104 and 121...and
	between mile markers 122 and 149.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
