* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Price County in north central Wisconsin...
  Southern Ashland County in northwestern Wisconsin...
  Iron County in northwestern Wisconsin...
  Sawyer County in northwestern Wisconsin...
  Eastern Washburn County in northwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 645 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 1256 AM CDT Tuesday, local law enforcement reported 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1.75 and 2.75 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall 
  rate is 0.25 to 1 inch in 2 hours. Additional rainfall amounts of 
  1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. There are also public
           reports of water over roadways in the city of Hayward
           and along US 63 in the vicinity of Hayward.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  Park Falls, Hayward, Chippewa Flowage East, Chippewa Flowage West, 
  Turtle Flambeau Flowage, Phillips, Mercer, Round Lake, Fifield, 
  Mellen, Stone Lake, Birchwood, Butternut, Winter, Radisson, 
  Exeland, Couderay, Glidden, Copper Falls State Park and New Post.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
