...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following 
  counties, Chilton, Dallas and Perry.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 851 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated torrential rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Selma, Valley Grande, Selmont-West Selmont, Maplesville,
    Orrville, Potter Station, Dallas County Horse Arena, Memorial
    Stadium, Old Cahaba Park, Paul M Grist State Park, Dallas
    Lake, Parnell, Dannelly Reservoir, Selma University,
    Summerfield, Skyharbor Airport, Edmund Pettus Bridge, Suttle,
    Barrett Creek and Selma Drag Strip.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
