...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM MDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Colorado, including the following 
  counties, southwestern Adams, northwestern Arapahoe and 
  southwestern Denver.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

    - At 914 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This may cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

    - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.

    - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Denver, western Aurora, southwestern Thornton, eastern
    Arvada, southern Westminster, southwestern Commerce City,
    northern Englewood, Federal Heights and Sheridan.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of 
small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage 
areas and other low lying spots.
