...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Debris from mudslide and flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following 
  county, Garfield.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. A mudslide over CO 139 is on going or 
  expected to begin shortly. Avoid traveling through the advisory 
  area.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 341 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
    advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Southwestern Garfield County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

CO 139 is prone to rockslides and mudslides in heavy rain. Stay 
alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid driving on flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
