...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected as 
  additional storms move through the area.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Colorado, including the following 
  county, Rio Blanco.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 341 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms which continue to train through the Whiter
    River Valley near Meeker. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5
    and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Big Beaver Creek, Dry Fork Piceance Creek, Cottonwood Creek,
    White River, Flag Creek, Curtis Creek, East Beaver Creek,
    Lone Tree Creek, Sheep Creek, Smith Gulch, Little Beaver
    Creek, Coal Creek, Strawberry Creek and Sulphur Creek.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Meeker.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
