...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is 
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Kansas, including the following 
  counties, Barber, Comanche and Kiowa.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from 
  earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing 
  water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1104 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is
    already occurring in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Medicine Lodge, Coldwater, Greensburg, Protection,
    Mullinville, Hardtner, Lake City, Wilmore, Sun City, Aetna,
    Belvidere, Lake Coldwater and Buttermilk.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.
