...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following 
  parishes, Jefferson, Orleans and St. Bernard.

* WHEN...Until 745 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 712 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    New Orleans, Marrero, Chalmette, Belle Chasse, Metairie,
    Avondale, Jefferson, Gretna, Harahan, Westwego, Arabi, Bridge
    City, Elmwood, Meraux, River Ridge, Violet, Waggaman, Poydras
    and Lakefront Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
