...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Pine County and Wisconsin, Douglas County.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 235 PM CDT Monday, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due
    to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches
    of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wascott, Gordon, Dairyland and Kingsdale.
  - Flood safety information can be found at

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and to the National Weather Service in Duluth when you 
can do so safely. Flooding can be reported to the National Weather 
Service at 1-800-685-8612.
