...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Minnesota, including the following 
  county, Polk and North Dakota, including the following counties, 
  Grand Forks, Steele and Traill.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 709 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Grand Forks, East Grand Forks, Thompson, Hatton, Portland,
    Fisher, Buxton, Reynolds, Merrifield, Mallory, Bygland,
    Holmes and Davidson.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don't drown. Don't travel through 
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
