...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall 
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Missouri, including the following 
  counties, northern Monroe and Shelby.

* WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows 
  over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1229 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    small stream flooding. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Monroe City, Shelbina, Clarence, Shelbyville, Granville,
    Maud, Emden, Woodlawn, Hunnewell, Bethel, Leonard,
    Stoutsville, Duncans Bridge and Indian Creek.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
