...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the 
  following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, 
  Lee, Moore, Randolph and Scotland.

* WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 950 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fayetteville, Sanford, Southern Pines, Raeford, Pittsboro,
    Lillington, Carthage, Fort Liberty, Siler City, Pinehurst,
    Aberdeen, Goldston, Godwin, Pope AFB, Antioch, Hope Mills,
    Spring Lake, Eastover, Whispering Pines and Liberty.
