...FLOOD WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The Flood Warning will expire at 8 PM EDT this evening for a portion 
of central North Carolina, including the following areas, Chatham, 
Durham, Orange and Wake.

Flood waters are receding, with the exception of Little River below 
the tributary at Fairntosh in northern Durham County, which remains 
out of its banks. While flooding is no longer expected to pose a 
threat elsewhere, area creeks and streams are still running high. 
Please continue to heed remaining road closures and use caution near 
river banks. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to 
recognize the dangers of flooding.
