AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including the 
  following counties, Brown and Cherry.

* WHEN...Until 145 PM CDT /1245 PM MDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1034 AM CDT /934 AM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5
    and 1 inch of rain has fallen this morning on areas that
    received 3 to 6 inches of rain yesterday.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Johnstown, Valentine National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt
    Reservoir, Wood Lake, Big Alkali Lake State Wildlife
    Management Area, Highway 83 crossing Goose Creek, Schlagel
    Creek State Wildlife Management Area and Highway 97 crossing
    the North Loup River.
