...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Nuisance flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of upstate South Carolina, including the 
  following county, Chester.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low-lying areas adjacent to Fishing 
  Creek and Rocky Creek including farmland, parks, greenways, 
  boat-access areas, and golf courses. Isolated, shallow flows over 
  roadways is possible.  A few flood-prone, low-water crossings may 
  become impassible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 746 AM EDT, The Rocky Creek and Fishing Creek watersheds
    are continuing to deal with significant flows following heavy
    rainfall from Tropical Cyclone Debby.  While no additional
    rainfall is expected, Rocky Creek and Fishing Creek have
    fallen below Action/Advisory Stage, however,nuisance flooding
    will continue across adjacent low-lying areas. A Flood
    Advisory will remain in effect through at least 10:00AM to
    allow these streams to recede below bankfull levels.

    Please avoid all flooded roadways and obey all barricades.
    Numerous roadways were closed across Chester County earlier
    today.  Even if the roads are no longer flooded, erosion
    beneath the road surface may have compromised the road and
    could cause it to collapse under the weight of a vehicle.
    Turn around and find an alternative route.

    Great Falls, Richburg, Fishing Creek Reservoir and Edgemoor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
