...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following 
  counties, Cannon, De Kalb, Putnam, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale and 
  Wilson.

* WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1206 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
    advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Gallatin, Lebanon, Smithville, Carthage, Hartsville,
    Hendersonville, Mount Juliet, Watertown, Gordonsville,
    Hickman, South Carthage, Alexandria, Dowelltown, Liberty,
    Auburntown, Tuckers Crossroads, Dickerson Chapel Recreation
    Area, Dixon Springs, Center Hill Lake and Edgar Evins State
    Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
